Elite app gets massive upgrade on iOS & Android

by Dan on November 15, 2012

Remember when people used the phrase ?Elite 2.0? earlier in the year and it caused all that confusion? Well, I had to smile when I updated my app for Call of Duty Elite and found that it was, in fact, version 2.0. Now that the free mobile companion app has been updated for both iOS and Android, I?ve spent a little time playing around with it and I like what I see. Here?s a quick visual tour from my iPad:

The main screen is customizable, so if you don?t want to see any of these elements, you can turn them off. Handy for just using the app to keep track of your personal stats or just your clan activity.

The launch has kept me so busy I haven?t had much time to play, but I can already see my areas of improvement for Black Ops II.

Well?I?m consistently inconsistent.

My clan plays a lot of Domination, so I can check in on who has bragging rights instantly, then I can dig down into their data.

The loadout creator is even easier to use with Pick-10. Note the ?Send to Game? option in the upper left; this feature has been improved over last year, so you can now access your changed loadouts at the next match, instead of on your next login.

MW3 is fully supported, of course; here?s my clan?s performance page.

This is not all; you will also be able to watch videos and livestreamed matches through this app when the League Play season gets underway, too.

Did I mention this app, like Elite itself, is free???Download it for?iOS?and?Android?and let me know what you think.
